工业可以分为两种。

一种是离散型制造，比如汽车厂这样,一台一台的造汽车。

一种是连续型制造，比如化工、发电、石油等等，是源源不断的输入原料和造产品。

因为历史原因，这两种制造方式在自动化进程中形成了自己的控制界面。

离散型制造的主要课题是顺序控制，主要用逻辑量的判断和输出。形成了以梯形图为代表的PLC控制界面。

连续型制造的主要课题是自动控制，主要用模拟量的计算和输出。形成了以功能码图为代表的DCS控制界面。

他们控制方式的不同也体现在对IO信号的处理上，比如有PLC血统的厂家总是习惯将所有信号都转为数字量再处理,而有DCS血统的厂家总习惯将所有信号转成模拟量。这个就不深入讲了。

Industry can be divided into two kinds.

The main topic of discrete manufacturing is sequence control, which mainly uses logical quantity judgment and output. The PLC control interface represented by ladder diagram is formed.

The main topic of continuous manufacturing is automatic control, which mainly uses the calculation and output of analog quantities. The DCS control interface represented by function code diagram is formed.

The difference in their control methods is also reflected in the processing of IO signals, such as manufacturers with PLC pedigree are always accustomed to converting all signals into digital quantities for reprocessing, while manufacturers with DCS pedigree are always accustomed to converting all signals into analog quantities.
