The 8440-1022 is a unit of two circuit breaker synchronizers and load control modules in the Woodward SPM-D21 series. The line features a microprocessor-based design designed to be installed into a generator system that includes a range of compatible components.

The 8440-1022 unit provides automatic frequency, phase and voltage regulation and matching. The 8440-1022 is designed to provide combined synchronization for generator circuit breakers, power circuit breakers, and load and power factor control functions.

The synchronization of the 8440-1022 unit is performed separately between the generator circuit breaker and the power circuit breaker. Two-phase inspection can read and diagnose the generator system, common bus and power supply. The 8440-1022 has four different operating modes to adjust the parameters of the equipment at different methods and speeds. The four modes are labeled "Run," "Check," "Off," and "Allow."

The power parallel operation function of the device includes actual power control, true RMS power calculation, soft shutdown function, power factor control and parameter setting. The unit's standard operating features include a two-row LCD display that provides the operator with generator diagnostics and operational information. 8440-1022 device is manufactured with standard size set; 144 mm x 72 mm x 122 mm. The weight of the machine must be at least 800 grams.
