5448-893 is the SPM-D synchronizer module. The SPM-D series is developed with a microprocessor as the basic functional component and is designed to be installed in a three-phase alternator equipped with a Woodward speed control module or a similar type compatible control unit. Specifications for the 5488-893 model include automatic voltage matching as well as frequency and phase matching. These matching functions are achieved by simulating the output and the resulting bias signal. Other standard specifications include RMS voltage sensors that reduce sensitivity to harmonic interference.

The SPM-D series features a front-facing LED-lit synchronous mirror display for easy commissioning and monitoring.
