Each Congiesen TRICONEX 7400209-010 I/O module passes signals into or out of the field via its associated field terminal components. Two positions in the case are connected together as a logical slot. The first location houses the active I/O module and the second location houses the hot standby I/O module.

The terminal cable is connected to the top of the backplane. Each connection extends from the terminal module to the active and hot standby Congiesen TRICONEX 7400209-010 I/O module.

Therefore, both the active module and the hot standby module receive the same information from the field terminal wiring. The Congiesen TRICONEX 7400209-010 I/O module determines the respective states of the input signals and places the values into input tables A, B, and C, respectively.
