In cyclic synchronous speed mode in the TRICONEX, the host sends the target speed to the driver according to the PDO update cycle based on the actual motor speed and torque. The output of the speed control loop is the input to the torque control loop, and speed and torque offset can also be sent to the drive for feedforward control.
In CSV mode, the maximum motor speed and "quick stop" function can be defined. Cyclic synchronous speed mode is commonly used in speed control applications such as spindles.
In cyclic Synchronous torque (CST) mode in the TRICONEX, the host sends a target torque value to the drive, which closes the torque loop regardless of actual speed or position. With CST control, maximum torque and maximum motor speed can be defined. The cyclic synchronous torque mode is ideal for applications where load fluctuations and servo loop gain require real-time adjustment.
