The Emerson/MOTOROLA IPMC712/ IPMC761 multifunction /O module is optional and uses the MVME761 or MVME712M conversion board to provide backward compatibility with earlier MOTOROLA Computer Group (MCG) models. Early mcg products included the MVME2600 and MVME2700 series of SBC.

The IPMC712 and IPMC761 can be installed and used on the MVME5100 board. Both models are designed around the PMC form factor, and both modules integrate PCI/ISA Bridges and ultra-wide SCSI devices

Orchestration and super I/o capabilities. Both modules are single-width, standard length, and standard height PMC boards. They are connected to the motherboard PCI bus via PMCP11, P12, P13, P14, and P1-5 connectors.

Both modules receive + 5V and +3.3V voltages via PMC connectors.
