The MVME5100 series is the flagship product of MOTOROLA's PowerPlus II VME architecture to achieve supercompute-level performance in a single VMEbus slot. The ASICPowerPlus II, based on an integrated PCI bridge memory controller designed by MOTOROLA Computers, brings memory performance to a new level of horizontal read bandwidth and 640MB/s burst write bandwidth with 582MB/s of memory. The PowerPlus II architecture supports a full PCI throughput of 264MB/s without depleting the processor's memory.

The extended temperature version of the MVME5100 series provides hardware and software compatibility products to enhance existing MVME5100 products. The new version operates in an extended temperature range of -20° to 71°C, compared to the already existing commercial versions of 0° to 55°C. This temperature range is good for Benefit Oems that need to extend the operating temperature of their equipment.

The MVME5100 is designed to meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers serving the defense and defense aerospace, industrial automation, and medical segments.
