Global power semiconductor giant Infineon Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (HD KSOE). The cooperation aims to promote low-carbon energy saving, jointly develop new Marine engines through power semiconductor technology and promote the electrification of Marine machinery. Infineon Technologies will provide its technical expertise and guidance on power semiconductor modules and system solutions, while sharing new trends and cutting-edge information on semiconductor technology in Marine applications. Through this collaboration, HD KSOE hopes to further enhance the reliability and performance of Marine propulsion drive technology, and promote the electrification of the Marine industry, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability.
