IC660BBD022 is a module that supports the Genius protocol and belongs to the Genius I/O Block series of distributed I/O modules. The device is an independent, single-node I/O station with sixteen (16) I/O circuits that support source wiring configurations.

The IC660BBD022 has sixteen (16) I/O circuits and operates at 24/48 VDC. Each channel of the module can be configured for input and output, and data can be exchanged through the provided Genius I/O bus terminals. Allows communication between GE programmable logic and automation controllers (PLCS/PACs) and modules such as bus controllers, PC interface modules, Human machine interfaces (Hmis), and third-party devices. The module is a panel mounted stand-alone device with an open housing, so it must be installed inside the housing to provide adequate protection against industrial contaminants.

The module can be installed remotely, with a maximum distance of 7,500 feet from partner equipment. It also allows Daisy chains to connect other I/O modules to form the Genius I/O network. The operation of the module can be configured locally using the Handheld Monitor (HHM) via the HHM port mounted on top of the terminal component. It can also be configured remotely using the programming software of the main controller. The input channel of the module accepts 12/24 VDC nominal voltage with a start-up delay of 1.7 ms. Similarly, the output channel generates 2 amps of current per circuit, with a maximum on-delay of 1 millisecond. The module consists of two (2) components, in particular the IC660EBD020 electronic assembly and the IC660TBD022 terminal base assembly.
