The device can be used to measure all media with an electrical conductivity of not less than 1μS/cm. The low-impedance measuring rod is immersed in a conducting liquid and sends a frequency current to the wall of the tank. The pressure drop measurement between the measuring rod and the tank wall is related to the insertion depth of the measuring rod and its total length. This output voltage is proportional to the liquid level in the tank.
