The GE ignition circuit control board DS200FCRRG1AKD has 1 terminal with terminals for 95 signal wires. It also contains 10 2-pin connectors, 2 ribbon cables, and a programmable logic device. The ID of the 10 2-pin connectors begins with a number and ends with a PL. These numbers are assigned sequentially and printed on the board surface for easy reference by installers or service personnel. For example, some ids are 1PL, 5PL, 12PL, and 15PL. Due to the large number of 2-pin cables connected to the connector, it is important to record where the cable is connected before disconnecting it. Before disconnecting the cable, mark the ID of the connector to which it is connected. Then, when you are ready to connect the cable on the replacement board, the task is quick and accurate. If you connect a 2-pin cable to the wrong connector, you may not realize the error until you try to start the drive. This results in increased drive downtime and reduced productivity for drives and other related activities performed on site.

To remove the signal cable from the junction box, carry a narrow flathead screwdriver with you. Loosen the screws and pull out the signal cable. Make sure the signal cable removes about 0.5 inches of insulation from the end of the wire. The best practice is to insert all bare wires into the terminal. However, if the insulation layer removed is less than 0.5 inches, it may not be possible to establish a connection between the terminal and the signal line.
