The GE MD Shaker control board DS3800DMEC features 7 terminals for connecting other components to the board, as well as 2 indicator leds. The GE MD exciter control board DS3800DMEC also contains 14 trimmer resistors, 20 jumpers, 1 20-pin ribbon cable and 1 34-pin ribbon cable.

The 20-pin and 34-pin ribbon cables are not cables that can be disconnected from the circuit board. They are connected to the circuit board and they provide the means by which the circuit board receives signals and power from the driver. When installing the drive, you will find that there is a location designated for the motherboard with a 20 pin and 34 pin connector next to it. First, the circuit board is attached to the rack using screws, and then the ribbon cable is connected to the specified connector. Ribbon cables are fragile and require some special considerations.
