The GE Universal regulator board DS3800DMPK1E1D has 14 erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules. The GE universal regulator board DS3800DMPK1E1D also has two 34-pin ribbon cables, two single-pin connectors, and 17 jumpers.

The EPROM module is not installed in the socket of the DS3800DMPK1E1D module of the new GE universal controller board. Sockets are embedded on the circuit board, and modules are designed to be installed or removed as needed. To remove the module, slide the flat head screwdriver between the module and the sockets on both ends of the module. Gently shake the blade server to lift the module out of the slot. Then, the same process is performed on the other side of the module. Place the module in an ESD bag immediately. The data on the module is easily destroyed by static electricity, and the bag will prevent static electricity from entering the module.

Find the same slot on the replacement board and align it with the slot. Gently press it into the socket with your fingers. Check the connections between slots and modules to determine any space between them. If necessary, press the socket to ensure full connection to the module. Place the replacement board on a flat ESD bag when installing a module.
