Product description

The GE Line driver/receiver board DS3800HDRA features modular connectors for connection to the drive and a retaining rod for securing the board in the drive. The GE line driver/receiver board DS3800HDRA also houses 2 jumpers and multiple capacitors. The board also has 2 40-pin connectors that can be accessed from the front of the board.

When the board is mounted in the drive, the operator has access to 2 40-pin connectors. However, any cable connected to the connector should only be touched if the driver has disconnected all power.

Disconnect the power supply from the driver. Ensure that all power supplies are removed by personnel familiar with driver installation. The driver has multiple current sources, and only someone familiar with installation can know the power supply and how to disconnect it. Before touching the development board, use a fully functional test device to confirm that all power is disconnected.

Be familiar with emergency power shutdown devices associated with drives. In an emergency, shutting down can disconnect all power to the drive. It is important that 2 technicians are always present to repair the drive. If one technician is in an emergency, another technician can call for help, turn off the power, or assist another technician.

Before starting the installation, check the area around the drive for safe conditions. Make sure the floor is dry and free of oil and debris. If there is moisture on the floor, please clean the water first. If moisture reappears, you may need to install a dehumidifier to keep the floor dry.
