The GE line driver/receiver board DS3800HDRA1B1B has a modular connector for connecting the driver and a fixing rod for securing the circuit board to the driver. The GE line driver/receiver board DS3800HDRA1B1B also has 2 jumpers and multiple capacitors. The board also has 2 40-pin connectors that can be accessed from the front of the board.

Another component on the board is a transistor-to-transistor logic (TTL) device. It serves as the interface logic between integrated circuits.

One end of the board is equipped with a modular connector. The modular connector is designed to connect to another modular connector on the back of the chassis in the driver. Two modular connectors are combined to provide connections for many signal and power connections. When the board is removed from the drive, the connection will be broken without the intervention of the service personnel. In other words, simply remove the circuit board to end the signal and power connection. The modular connection facilitates the processing of command signals received by the board. Modular connections also provide a way for the board to send command signals to other boards in the driver. During normal processing, the circuit board sends and receives signals several times to control the motor and moving parts.

On the other side of the board is the holding rod. They fit into the slots in the board frame and lock the board in the frame. They prevent the board from moving to protect the components. They also maintain connections between modular connectors.
