Product description

The GE input isolator plate DS3800HIOA1B1B has a hole at each corner for mounting the plate with screws. The GE input isolator board DS3800HIOA1B1B also houses a microprocessor and multiple erasable programmable read-only (EPROM) modules. The board has a 34-pin connector that can be accessed from the edge of the board. It also populates the test points.

The ribbon cable is connected to the 34-pin connector. The 34 individual signals it carries are commands that the board sends to other boards for processing. Other signals are received by the circuit board. These signals are processed by the circuit board. Ribbon cable needs special consideration because it is a wide cable that will prevent air from passing through the drive. Proper cabling helps maintain airflow. Route cables along the outer edge of the driver's interior to avoid air blocking reaching components and other plates.

The ribbon cable is connected to the circuit board through a connector at the end of the cable. It does not have a strong connection to the ribbon cable and can easily be pulled out of the ribbon cable or lose the connection. Always maintain some slack in the ribbon cable so as not to tighten or pull the cable. Do not pull the ribbon cable out by pulling it. Instead, hold the connector and gently remove it from the connector.

When connecting the ribbon cable and installing the circuit board, protect the circuit board from electrostatic buildup. Wear a wrist strap to protect the components from damage.
