Product description

The GE digital I/O board DS3800HIOD1H1H is designed for quick installation in drives. The board has a modular connector at one end and a fixed rod at the other end. The GE digital I/O board DS1HIOD3800H1H is also equipped with 1 2-pin connector and 10 1-pin connectors, located between the holding rods for easy access from the front of the board. It is also filled with 40 jumpers.

When the GE digital I/O board DS3800HIOD1H1H is installed in a drive, there may be three ribbon cables connected to it. The connector has a retaining clamp to ensure that the cable does not accidentally loosen. When installing the ribbon cable, remove the retaining clamp. Then, after installing the ribbon cable, swing the retaining clamps to the ribbon cable and lock them to the ribbon cable.

The ribbon cable prevents air from entering the drive. This can cause heat to build up inside the drive. If the temperature rises above a predetermined threshold, an overtemperature condition will occur and the drive will automatically shut down.

Prevents the ribbon cable from blocking the vent holes at the top and bottom of the driver. Cold air enters the bottom of the drive and heated air leaves the drive through a vent at the top. Inside the drive, air takes heat away from the components. Route the cable along the side of the driver and route the cable to exit from the top of the driver.
