The DS3800HLNA1D1A is the network controller for the Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV is General Electric's turbine control system, the first Speedtronic control system to offer TMR control. Compared to previous Speedtronic systems, this type of control significantly reduces downtime by distributing control across multiple redundant microprocessor control systems.

The DS3800HLNA1D1A is a rectangular circuit board that weighs about 0.57 pounds before adding the external boxes needed for safe shipping. Your FOB shipping weight will be higher.

The DS3800HLNA1D1A plate consists of two extraction clamps, which are installed in a factory drill hole at the leading edge of the plate. These clamps allow the board to be inserted into or removed from the rack system with less likelihood of damaging the leading edge components. The edge consists of multiple LED indicators, a right Angle connector, and multiple TP test points. Other board components include jumper switches, integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, and large backplane connectors located at the edge of the rear board.

It should be noted that when removing previous board components, the user should note the location of all user configurable components (such as jumper switches). These Settings should be replicated on the replacement board to ensure proper configuration.
