The GE Network controller board DS3800HLND1B1B is designed for quick installation in drives. The board has a modular connector at one end and a fixed rod at the other end. The GE network controller board DS1HLND3800B1B is also equipped with a red indicator LED that can be seen from the front of the board. The board also features three jumpers and eight erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules.

The GE Network controller board DS3800HLND is also equipped with a 40-pin connector and a 20-pin connector. When installing a circuit board, the final task for board installation is to connect the ribbon cable to the connector. This is because the connectors are accessible when the board is mounted in the motherboard rack.
