Product description

The General Electric DS3800NADA1E1E is a printed circuit board designed to be used as an analog-to-digital converter card in Mark IV Speedtronic systems. The Mark IV, a steam and gas turbine control system, is a forward-facing design that uses an integrated chipset and is intentionally redundant on key control and protection parameters. This two-thirds voting redundancy allows the Speedtronic system to split responsibilities as needed if the chipset experiences electronic issues to keep the entire system up and running.

DS3800NADA1E1E design has:

- Three integrated circuits. This includes crystal oscillators, up/down binary counters with dual clocks, eight-channel buffers, double positive edge-triggered D-triggers, and analog/digital converters. The last one (U12) is the full 57-bit ADC on the chip. The 8 ns data access time makes these devices compatible with 16-bit and <> bit microprocessors as well as digital signal processors.
