Product description
GE created the DS3800NEPA1C1A as a motor driver power supply for the Mark IV Speedtronic series. Created for gas turbine and steam turbine control management, the Mark IV was created on the basis of machine-verifiable redundancy and integrated chipsets. These intentional redundancies help keep the entire system working in the event of an electronic failure of one module, thereby minimizing downtime.
DS3800NEPA1C1A is a vertically bulky printed circuit board. This is due to the two Raycom Electronics 44B379508-G02 modules attached to the board. Other specifications include:
- Two straight pin (male) connectors on the left side of the board. The first of these is a 6-pin connector with a 2-2-2 mode. The second is a 7-pin, with a 2-1-1-3 pattern.
- Four circuits connected to the board.
- A jumper. This can be set to "nr" or "rev".
- Four potentiometers (rotating)
- 9 large resistors and capacitors. Large resistors with orange, white and gold bands. The capacitor is orange. The board has other smaller capacitors and resistors.
- A terminal connector (male head) is located in the upper left corner of the board.
- The alignment of marks on the two edges (A to L and 10 to 80).
- Factory drilling, twice at each corner, along the edge of the plate, offset four times from the center.
- A thermistor (red) or thermistor. Because thermistors lose resistance when heated, they can help with voltage regulation and circuit protection.
