Ge designed the 531X111PSHASG1 card as a motor magnetic field control and power supply board. It is designed for the 531X series replacement board of GE drives. Most drives in this series can accept this card in their cabinets. Once installed, the board provides the power needed for the drive to operate. The motor excitation circuit also receives power from the card.

Since this card powers the drive, it plays an important role in the overall operation. The 531X111PSHASG1 can provide three different voltage ratings for the driver. The power supply can be 5 VDC, 15 VDC, or 24 VDC. The circuit board's integrated pulse transformer also provides power to the motor excitation circuit.
