The 531X111PSHACG1 board is designed to be used as a motor magnetic field control and power card when operating inside the host drive. Ge developed the board as a member of the 531X Series of replacement driver and exciter cards. Because the device is a replacement card, it has features that are installed into many of GE's branded drives and exciters. The power required to run the drive comes with this card. As an older G1 model board, this card includes an MOV mounted on the card instead of an external AC line.

An integral part of the 531X111PSHACG1 board is the production source power supply. With this board, the host drive can draw power from a power supply rated at 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and 24 VDC. The integrated pulse transformer also provides the power needed to power the driver's field control circuit. A range of onboard adjustments can be configured according to user requirements. System control options can be performed using one of the six relays on the card. The board also consists of five jumpers and three potentiometers. Feedback and current signal adjustment is performed using jumpers, while the potentiometer allows current and circuit feedback calibration.
