The 531X305NTBAPG1 card was developed by General Electric as an NTB/3TB terminal board. The card was originally developed for the 531X series replacement driver board. Members of the board family are suitable for installation into multiple drives under the GE brand. Once installed, this card provides access to many interface tools not found in the drive. Applications include serial and relay outputs, low-level analog I/O, encoders, and power supplies.

Installing NTB/3TB terminal boards provides both regulated and unregulated power supplies. The host driver can be powered from a regulated supply rated at 5 VDC and 15 VDC or an unregulated supply rated at 24 VDC or 120 VAC. Users can configure a variety of board Settings to meet specific load requirements. The 5V and 15V encoders can be adjusted via jumpers on the circuit board. The board also offers A combination of seven Type A and Type C relay outputs. All integrated relays include contacts rated at 120 VAC. The card also contains four potentiometers that allow scaling low-level analog I/O.
