Product description
The 269PLUS-DO-211-120N-120VAC is a motor protection system in GE Multilin's 269 Plus motor management relay family. The purpose of the system is to act as a protective layer for three-phase AC motors against damage due to temperature and electrical hazards. The operating voltage of the controller on the protection system is 3 VAC. The system uses a resistance thermal detector (RTD) to determine thermal conditions, while a current transformer (CT) is used to determine electrical conditions. The system uses 120 ohm nickel-based RTD.
The protection system uses the EnerVista Quick-Launch Board package to run its internal requirements, including setup and support. The software can communicate with external devices using multiple methods, including serial, Ethernet, and modems. Configuration files can also be created externally and transferred to a protection system. EnerVista also comes with a toolkit that includes GE Multilin drivers and automatic event and waveform retrieval capabilities.
The back of the system panel contains the various inputs and outputs needed to take full advantage of the protection features. There are 10 RTD inputs on the back of the panel, divided into 3 sections. RTD 1-3 and 4-6 inputs are typically used for stator winding protection. RTD 7-10 is commonly used to monitor ambient temperatures as well as motor and bearing temperatures. In addition, the back of the panel contains control power inputs and four output relays.
