The IC695CPU310 is a 300 MHz CPU from the GE Fanuc RX3i series.
The IC695CPU310 has an Intel Celeron (Pentium III) microprocessor with 10 MB RAM and 10 MB flash memory. It also has a pair of embedded serial ports for RS-232 and RS-485 communication. Both ports face the front of the chassis for ease of use. The IC695CPU310 supports three different Serial protocols (Modbus RTU Slave, SNP, and Serial I/O), all of which work with programmable logic controllers to build the way the PLC provides information: The IC695CPU310 uses the SNP Slave protocol to communicate with the HMI (human machine interface) device.
Eight leds on the front of the case give you a clear picture of the system status to determine whether the CPU, battery, and communication channels are working as expected. Product documentation reminds you of the meaning of LED color and status, but cpus follow widely accepted conventions: a blinking or red light indicates system failure, while a steady green indicates normal operation.
The dual backplane bus architecture supports RX3i PCI and GE Fanuc series Type 90-30 serial buses. The CPU itself supports up to 512 blocks, each with a maximum size of 128 KB. You can program it using ladder diagram, structured text, or functional block diagram programming languages. You can also program it in C.
