If UR9AH does not store the configuration from the programmer,UR9AH automatically creates its own configuration when it is powered on. To create automatic configurations, the CPU reads configuration data from each module and Ethernet interface. This includes advanced user parameter files for Ethernet interfaces.

When automatic configuration exists in UR9AH, some Ethernet configuration parameters can be edited from the station manager. This changes the parameters stored in the Ethernet interface itself. If the PLC is repowered or cleared, the CPU retrieves the edited configuration from the Ethernet interface. After the configuration is completed and stored in the PLC, UR9AH saves it in memory. The configuration can be saved to and retrieved from flash memory, which provides an almost permanent backup of the configuration data in case of power outage and battery backup.

Each time CPUE05 powers on or changes or clears its configuration,UR9AH transfers Ethernet configuration data back to the Ethernet interface. The Ethernet interface portion of the CPUE05 stores its configuration data in battery-powered memory. If the CPU battery backup is lost and the configuration is not saved to Flash, the Ethernet interface loses its backup configuration data.
