FLEX数字量I/O模块按其功能可以分为带保护输出型、带电子保险型、带自诊断型和隔离型。

(1)带保护输出型具有电子保护,能够在短路、过载或过热情况下切断输出,在输出故障排除时自动恢复。没有故障状态信息提供给处理器模块型号末尾为P.

(2)带电子保险型能够在故障发生时断开输出,通过操作按钮、软件或输入重新通电复位“保险”。故障状态信息提供给处理器,模块型号末尾为EP。

(3)带自诊断型能够检测、指示并报告给处理器如下故障现场输入或输出设备开路或接线开路;现场设备输出短路,输入或输出接线短路;用户电源接线反极性。模块型号末尾为D.

(4)隔离型:内部/O通道间相互隔离,模块型号末尾为1.
