A2 is ideal for 100Mb networks that may require a gigabit Ethernet uplink connection. In addition to its multilayer switching capabilities, A2 also provides multilayer packet sorting and priority queuing for differentiated services.

In addition to the 17.6Gbps switch capacity, A2 offers up to 48 10/100base-T or 24 100base-FX Ethernet ports and two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports that can be used for uplink or stack connections.

Up to eight A2s can be interlinked in a single stack to create a virtual switch that provides 140.8Gbps of capacity and up to 384 10/100base-T or 192 100base-FX Ethernet ports and 32 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports for uplink or stack connections.
