Product details

The FBM Series module HART communication input interface module contains eight isolated analog input channels in groups of 4 to 20 mA. The FBM214 supports any combination of standard 4 to 20mA devices and HART devices.

The FBM series module serves as the HART communication field device host, enabling the I/a series system to request and receive two digital messages per second from field devices.

Messages through this feature can be used to support HART general, general practice, and device-specific commands, but do not support burst communication modes. These commands use the smart field device configurator

The FBM series modules provide a common isolated power supply for all eight channels. Optionally, the channel can be powered by an external power source. However, when a common external power supply is used with two or more channels, a cable-balanced-unbalanced converter module is required to prevent channel crosstalk.
