FlashDrop is quick and easy to use and does not require special driver knowledge. Eight-state sequential programming (PLC-like functional sequence programming is a standard feature of ABB universal mechanical drives, providing a straightforward way to create preset sequences of operations without any drive options. These PLC-like programs are sufficient for many basic applications, where the driver controls the motor using signals from sensors and limit switches. This helps reduce external PLC capacity requirements, simplify motor control systems, and reduce costs. Additional programming features include speed compensated stops and programmable delay stops - ideal for material handling applications that require precise stops without being affected by changes in process speed. Flexible user interface The user interface of the new universal mechanical drive is also designed to provide users with greater flexibility, as well as the possibility of reducing costs.

The control panel is only required for debugging or troubleshooting, and the standard transmission does not include any panel. Users who need panels can choose from two types: basic and advanced. Both are detachable, so end users can get a panel to swap and use between multiple drives. Cabinet compatible hardware With EMC filters and a built-in brake chopper, the new drivers are well equipped. At the same time, the drive is very compact: at more than 1 HP, the 480 V drive is the smallest in its class. And only the width of the drive increases with power, which facilitates easy installation into a cabinet or stand-alone configuration.

The cable tunnel can be arranged in a straight line, and all screw holes can be drilled in one line. DIN rail mounting is also available for all ACS350 units and the drivers can be mounted side-by-side without air gaps. When the cabinet depth is very limited, the driver can even be mounted on one side on the back of the cabinet. At just 9.7 pounds, handling and installing the 25-horsepower unit is easy. The enclosure of the drive itself provides IP20 protection.
