This 1-slot monitor is used with the AMS 6500 monitor to build a complete API 670 mechanical protection monitor. Applications include steam, gas, compressors and hydraulic turbomachinery.

The speed and key monitor can be configured in redundancy mode, in which you can automatically switch from the primary tachometer to the standby tachometer. Sensor gap voltage and pulse monitoring count/compare to trigger switching.

When the speed and key monitor is operating in redundant mode, the master key and failover key or speed displacement sensor must be installed on the same axial plane to ensure continuity during phase failover.
