The Emerson/Ataxen MVME7100 series VMEbus single-board computer is one of the first VMEbus products to feature the system-on-chip MPC864xD processor, providing a path forward for VMEbus customers using the previous generation of VME, particularly the MPC74xx processor. System-on-chip implementations provide power/heat dissipation, reliability, and lifecycle benefits that alternative architectures typically do not.

The Emerson MVME7100 single-board Computer (SBC) helps original equipment manufacturers of industrial, medical, and defense/aerospace VMEbus platforms increase performance and capabilities to gain a competitive advantage while still protecting essential investments in VMEbus and related technologies.

Customers can retain their VMEbus infrastructure (chassis, backplane, and other VMEbus and PMC boards) while improving performance and extending lifecycle.
