A413295 AIR8C Infineon releases a new suite of XHP3 flexible IGBT modules featuring a scalable design for reliability and maximum power density. Scalability is improved due to its parallel design. The IGBT module offers a symmetrical design with low spurious inductance, which provides significantly improved switching behavior. This is why the XHP3 platform provides solutions for demanding applications such as towing and commercial, construction and agricultural vehicles, as well as medium pressure drives.

A413295 AIR8C This XHP3 IGBT module is compact, 140 mm long, 100 mm wide and 40 mm high. It also features A new high-power platform with a half-bridge topology with a blocking voltage of 3.3 kV and a nominal current of 450 A. Infineon has also released two different isolation levels: 6 kV (FF450R33T3E3) and 10.4 kV (FF450R33T3E3_B5) isolation. Ultrasonic welded terminals and aluminum nitride substrates and aluminum silicon carbide substrates achieve the highest levels of reliability and durability.

A413295 AIR8C system designers can now easily adjust the required power level by paralleling the required number of XHP 3 modules. For easy scaling, pre-grouped devices also provide a set of matched static and dynamic parameters. With these packet modules, derating is no longer required when up to eight XHP 3 devices are paralleled.
