The FIREYE InSight series 95IR, 95UV, and 95DS flame detectors are microprocessor-based flame probes that use solid-state infrared sensors (IR), ultraviolet sensors (UV), or dual sensors (IR and UV). This series of fire detectors are equipped with internal flame relays and adjustable ON/OFF thresholds, so no remote amplifier is required. The InSight series detectors are a perfect replacement for the FIREYE 45FS1 and 45UVFS1 series probes, as well as the 45RM4 series probes, which can detect the presence or absence of a target flame in single or multi-burner conditions. The InSight probe detects the modulated amplitude (i.e. the flicker properties of the flame) generated by the target flame. In the probe setup program, the modulation frequency is selected, and this value directly affects the best flame recognition capability (ON/OFF value). It can also be set manually (type S1) or automatically set beyond the manual setting (type S2) to select the appropriate modulation frequency and probe gain. The InSight 95IR, 95UV and 95DS probes are each divided into two models for different functions. Standard S1, with three flame flicker frequency options, adjustable sensor gain, adjustable flame relay ON/OFF threshold, 4-20mA analog signal strength output, fault relay output, 2 optional programming files to store setpoints (for two different fuels or fuel ratios). The extended S2 adds automatic programming (automatic setting) with manual bypass, 21 flame flicker frequency selectable, a total of 4 selectable programming files to store set values, and adds remote communication with Fireye based Windows95/98/NT user software. All FIREYE InSight probes require a 24 Vdc power supply, have an electronic self-test function (no mechanical shutter required), feature an 8-digit alphanumeric LED display and four push-button keypadlets that allow users to view operating parameters and select Settings. The "CG" model probe includes a 10-foot (3 m) cable and cable seal. The cable for non-CG models is a 12-pin quick-release connector connection. There are also models that can connect optical fibers.
