The 8715-CA-BI logic input module has 16 safety-related digital inputs for contact manufacturer's 48/120 VAC. To safely detect high levels on digital inputs, voltage and current thresholds must be exceeded, as shown in Table 8.

Eight anti-short circuit power supplies each feed two power outputs (S1 to S8). A power output is assigned to each digital input. Security-related I/O modules 1oo2 processor system controls and monitors the number of I/ OS The data and status of the I/O module is available for use by the processor module via a redundant system bus.

For the following reasons, the system bus has redundant structure availability only when both system bus modules are plugged into the backboard and SILworX configuration.
