The SDW-550 is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch with five TX (copper cable) 10/100 Mbit/s ports. These ports are set for automatic negotiation of line speed and full/half duplex connections; The DIP switch does, however, allow each port to be configured individually if necessary. All 5 ports support MDI/MDI-X, which means there will never be a problem with using standard or cross jumpers.

The shielding of each TX port is isolated individually, helping to prevent ground loop problems within the network.

The device has a wide DC power input range, has polarity protection, and is capable of accepting power from dual power sources. With extended temperature range as standard, the SDW-550 is a basic switch designed for use in the harshest environments.
