The next generation DanLoad family of FC-PDIO01 is designed to address the batch control requirements of liquid confined transport applications. Changing industry standards, the high cost of hydrocarbon products, and the need to manage operating costs are driving the development of new technologies. Preset controllers precisely set the amount of liquid to be delivered and loaded onto trucks, railcars or boats, and control valves and pumps to load the liquid while monitoring critical circuits to ensure safe loading.

These processes must meet standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API). API constantly updates its measurement standards, and Emerson improves its products to help our customers keep pace. With the rising prices of petroleum, other liquid hydrocarbon products and chemicals, accurately measuring revenue measured deliveries is more important than ever.

The FC-PDIO01 is enhanced by the double precision mathematical capabilities provided by Mercer's high-performance Fisher ROC series remote operation controller technology. This not only meets API requirements, but also provides extremely accurate measurements and reliable local or remote control. Since hydrocarbons expand and contract with changes in temperature and pressure, converting flow measurements to standard conditions provides a more accurate measurement. The DL8000 uses the average measured product flow rate, measured temperature, pressure and density to calculate the flow rate of a closed conveyor to achieve flow measurement under standard conditions.
