LenelS2TM provides dual Reader Interface (DRI) modules for access control solutions. Supports most access control readers, keyboards, or card readers with keyboards that use standard Wiegand Data1/Data0 or clock/data communication, as well as readers that support the two-way RS-485 Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDPTM). All card readers connected to DRI support lock, unlock, and facility code offline access modes. Each DRI supports up to 16 different card formats and issuance codes for magnetic and Wiegand card formats.

DRI provides an important connection between the intelligent system controller (ISC) and the card reader connected to the interface. Up to 32 DRI modules can use RS4352 wire or 4-wire communication for multipoint transmission, with each port up to 400 feet from the ISC.
