模以星输入输出模块的模拟量是表示一定范围内连续变化的任意值，是与数字量相反的状态表示。

通常用模拟量来采集和表示事物的电压、电流或频率等参数。驱动硬件输出和相关数据通道，根据运行模式选择当前设定值，或根据需要反转，并将结果提供给硬件输出或软件输出。这是模拟星输入模块。模拟输入模块是一种智能模块，可以采集电压、电流、热电偶、热阻、温度等模拟值，并通过485总线传输给计算机。模拟输出模块的主要功能实际上是将输入的数字信号转换成数模，输出可调的连续电压、电流和信号。

比如在电视控制块中对各种模拟量的控制，如果以伴音为例，先将遥控器或按键扫描发出的脉冲数字信号输入到控制块中，经过模拟输出模块的数模转换后，输出可随输入信号变化的连续电压信号，然后利用该信号控制伴音通道，从而控制音量、亮度和对比度。此外，模拟星输出模块不仅用于这些地方，现在还广泛应用于各种智能中。
