装置采用简化的结构设计。它能够通过以太网和USB连接处理通信。板载文档和系统更新是标准功能,插入式更换细节被实施到单元中,以延长模块的使用寿命。这些装置设计用于在单个网络中连接到超过32个发电机组模块。
对于本地节点,反射内存板显示为共享内存。
任何级别的软件(包括应用程序本身)都可以将数据写入内存或从内存中读取数据。写入一个节点的反射内存的数据由网络硬件传输到所有其他节点,并放置在这些节点的反射内存板上的相同地址中。这种数据传输无需任何节点上的处理器参与即可完成。

The device adopts simplified structure design. It is capable of handling communications via Ethernet and USB connections. On-board documentation and system updates are standard features, and plug-in replacement details are implemented into the unit to extend the life of the module. These units are designed to connect to more than 32 generator set modules in a single network.
For local nodes, the reflected memory board appears as shared memory.
Any level of software, including the application itself, can write data to or read from memory. Data written to the reflected memory of one node is transmitted by the network hardware to all other nodes and placed at the same address on the reflected memory boards of those nodes. This data transfer can be done without the involvement of processors on any node.
With this system, all nodes on the network have a local copy of the shared data that is instantly accessible. The AutoMax UDC module can be communicated via two fiber optic connectors located at the edge of one board. The board is also used to monitor drive operation and run motor control algorithms.
Other interfaces include PMI interface connectors, AC power technology circuits, instrument ports, Flex I/O, synchronous transfer port connectors, and PMI processor circuits. The instrument port is located in a terminal strip along the edge of a board. These can be connected to external analog devices using 14-22 AWG twisted pair wire (maximum length 13 feet).
