With the addition of the SM81x module and SIL certification software, high integrity functionality can be achieved. This enables the non-critical control scheme to be upgraded to the SIL certification scheme by adding the plug-in SM81x module and selecting the appropriate software. AC 800M High Integrity also offers IEC 61508 and TUV certified control environments for combining security and business-critical process control in a single controller unit without sacrificing safety integrity.
