The SD83x power supply unit is designed to meet all applicable electrical safety data specified in EN 50178 Harmonized European Standard publication and other safety and functional data required by EN 61131-2 and UL 508.

The secondary output circuit is suitable for SELV or PELV applications. They are switching mode power supply units that convert the supply voltage to 24 volts direct current. These power supplies can be used in both non-redundant and redundant applications.

Redundant applications require diode voting units SS823 or SS832. With the SD83x series power supply unit, no power filter is required. They offer soft boot functionality; Power-on of the SD83x does not trigger fuses or ground fault circuit breakers.
