The following procedure defines the main considerations involved in the design of a load cell installation. 1. Check the load cell data to meet environmental requirements.

3. Determine the size and orientation of the load cell to meet the following guidelines: a. The reason for this recommendation is the stability of the load cell signal, especially when the system is operating over a large temperature range. This means that if FRT< 1/3 of Fnom, the FR should be at least Fnom. For larger FRTS, a minimum FR of at least 30% of the FRT is recommended.
