电源电路画成水平线，三相交流电源相序L1、L2、L3由上而下排列，中线N和保护地线PE画在相线之下。直流电源则正端在上，负端在下画出。  

主电路是指受电的动力装置及保护电器，它通过的是电动机的工作电流，电流较大，主电路要垂直电源电路画在原理图的左侧。控制电路是指控制主电路工作状态的电路。信号电路是指显示主电路工作状态的电路。照明电路是指实现机床设备局部照明的电路。这些电路通过的电流都较小，画原理图时，控制电路、信号电路、照明电路要依次垂直画在电路的右侧。
