ABB has announced DriveScan remote services for drive systems to help paper manufacturers improve system performance. ABB's remote services for drivelines now combine remote monitoring and DriveScan software. DriveScan enables the retrieval of drive system performance data to identify and diagnose problems, determine root causes, and resolve performance issues. DriveScan allows field engineers to continuously collaborate with ABB experts to achieve optimal machine availability and improved system and process performance.

DriveScan combines dedicated process monitors, engineering and maintenance tools to quickly identify sources of interference. DriveScan Remote services consist of three components: remote connectivity, DriveScan monitoring and diagnostics solutions, and 24/7 access by ABB's technical experts. Service levels include troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance. Periodic Maintenance services perform regular quarterly analysis of archived data against established performance benchmarks to identify potential performance improvement opportunities.
