TPMC866 is a standard single-width 32-bit PMC module with an eight-channel high-performance asynchronous serial interface with front and rear I/O. The TPMC866-10R provides an 8-channel RS232 interface that supports receive data (RxD), Send data (TxD), Ready to send (RTS), clear Send per channel (CTS), and GND. In addition, serial channel 1 and Serial Channel 2 provide data Setup Ready (DSR), Data Terminal Ready (DTR), data Carrier detection (DCD), and ringing detection indicator (RI).

The TPMC866-11R supports an 8-channel RS422 interface and provides RS422 signal levels through different transmitters and receivers. This provides send data (TxD+/-), receive data (RxD+/-), and GND for each serial channel. The receiver signal terminal (120 ohms between RxD+ and RxD-) is provided on the TPMC866. Each channel of the TPMC866-10R/-11R has a 64-byte transmit FIFO and a 64-bit receive FIFO to significantly reduce the overhead required to provide data to and from transmitters and receivers.

FIFO trigger level is programmable. The TPMC66-12R provides an 8-channel serial interface. Each serial channel can be configured with a DIP switch as an RS422, RS485-FD-M (full duplex master), RS485-FD-S (full duplex slave), or RS485-HD (half duplex) interface. Four-wire interfaces (RX+, RX-, TX+, TX-) plus ground (GND) are available for RS422 and RS485-FD. For RS485-HD, the two-wire interface (DX+, DX-) plus ground (GND) is supported. For the front /O, the HD50 SCSI-2 type internal threaded connector is located in the front panel. For the back I/O, the P14 /O connector is damaged. Each channel of the TPMC86612R significantly reduces the overhead required to provide data to the transmitter and obtain data from the receiver.
