Technical specification

Ultra SlimPak G408 is DIN rail mount, DC input signal regulator, with 1800VDC isolation between input, output and power supply. Field configurable inputs and outputs provide flexible, broad capabilities for DC current and voltage signals.

The inputs can be configured with 12 voltage ranges from 10mV to 100V or 6 current ranges from 1mA to 100mA(see Table 1). The output is a linear input that can be set to 0-5V,0-10V,0-1mA, 0-20mA or 4-2O0mA(model G408-001) and -5 to +5V or -10 to +10V(model g408-1001). The wide range, precise zero point and span tanks allow 50% offsets and span turn drops in an optional range of 18 switches.

For example, the 0-2mA input range can be turned down to 0-1mA and provide A full-range output signal (e.g. 4-20mA), or turned down and offset to achieve a 1-2m A/4-20mA /O combination. The G408 also accepts bipolar input (e.g. 10V range set to bipolar =-10 to +10V) and offers optional normal or reverse operation (e.g. 4-20mA/20-4mA).

The ASIC-based I/O channel is optically isolated to 180OVDC and isolated from the power transformer. The G408 is useful for eliminating ground loops, converting signal levels, and providing signal drive. Field-configurable, extensive functionality ensures maximum flexibility for most DC to d applications, minimizing spare parts requirements. The Diagnostic LED G408 is equipped with a dual-function LED signal monitor.

The green front LED displays the DC power supply and input signal status. The active DC power supply is indicated by an illuminated LED. If the input signal exceeds 110% of full scale, the LED will flash at 8Hzi. When the frequency is lower than -10%, the flash frequency is 4Hz
