Function description
Ethernet shielding of the operator panel is connected directly to the chassis. Check that the shield of the other Ethernet unit is grounded directly or through the capacitor. In many cases, it is not appropriate to connect both ends of a shielded Ethernet cable to the chassis. A buzzing sound or ground loop may occur. Unshielded cables may even result in fewer communication errors. A good solution might be to use a shielded Ethernet cable, but at only one end.
