The Allen-Bradley 5069-L306ER is a 5380 CompactLogix controller.  This is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) with a compact and expandable hardware, used in a wide variety of industrial applications in different industries.

The 5069-L306ER features an embedded 0.6 MB user memory.  This memory does not require use of battery as it is equipped with energy storage solution, used for retaining the contents of the user memory without the need of a battery.  Additionally, the 5069-L306ER is shipped with a 1784-SD2 Secure Digital (SD) Card with 2GB memory size.  This serves as the non-volatile memory and provides convenient method of transferring configuration files and user programs from one controller to another.  Optional memory cards may also be used such as 1784-SDHC8 (8 GB), 1784-SDHC32 (32 GB), and 9509-CMSDCD4 (4 GB) CodeMeter CmCard card for increasing non-volatile memory capacity.

The 5069-L306ER supports installation of up to Eight (8) 5069 Compact I/O modules.  This compact I/O modules are small form factor I/O that effectively saves panel space, contributing to lowered installation cost of this 5069 controller.

The 5069-L306ER has One (1) USB 2.0 port, capable of transmission speed up to 12 Mbps and Dual Ethernet I/P communication interface supporting linear, star and ring topology.  These Ethernet ports is able to exchange data at a transmission speed of 10 / 100 / 1Gbps in full-duplex mode.
